Got Fruit - You'll love these pairs!

We asked The Urban Alternative family to share some of the activities and traditions they do with their families during Christmas to focus their hearts and minds on Jesus in the midst of a busy season—and you delivered.

We come from all around the world, from different backgrounds and experiences, but one thing unites us all: our love for Jesus. Enjoy this virtual album, full of Christ-centered holiday traditions from the TUA family, and be encouraged. You may just find a new tradition of your own to try out this year.

HERE’S HOW OUR TUA FAMILY IS
KEEPING CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS:

Abdon C.
This is my first Christmas with my little family. Recently married and became a father. Looking forward to starting new traditions

We gather the children together on the floor before we open gifts and have a discussion with questions and answers about the reason Jesus was born, lived, and died for us, and how vital He is in each and every day of our lives today. We ask questions like, " How do you know that Jesus loves you?"or "How do you show Jesus that you love Him?"
Della L.
My husband will read from the Bible, the birth of Jesus, our yearly Christmas story, before opening up gifts. Its a blessing to us all.
Eric K.
Attending Christmas Eve services with all of my family.
Diane M.
Christmas morning before we opened any gifts my father would read from the Bible the Christmas Story in Luke and then pray. Since our children were young we carried that tradition on and to this day my husband gathers our children and grandchildren around to read from our special family Bible the Christmas story and pray to start the day.

Beginning the Christmas season by reading an advent story has been a favorite for our family. When our children were younger, our favorite was reading Jothams Journey series (a gift to us from a dear family) which we now gift to families with younger children. It helps us each day to keep our focus on the Lord and His Gift!
Renee P.
We pray and thank God for the gift of Jesus before we begin opening our gifts.
Ivette W.
We attend the Christmas Eve Service at our church.
Joe J.
We gather together before we open gifts under the tree and we thank the Lord in prayer for the gift He gave us in His Son Jesus.
