Got Fruit - You'll love these pairs!

We asked The Urban Alternative family to share some of the activities and traditions they do with their families during Christmas to focus their hearts and minds on Jesus in the midst of a busy season—and you delivered.

We come from all around the world, from different backgrounds and experiences, but one thing unites us all: our love for Jesus. Enjoy this virtual album, full of Christ-centered holiday traditions from the TUA family, and be encouraged. You may just find a new tradition of your own to try out this year.

HERE’S HOW OUR TUA FAMILY IS
KEEPING CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS:

Ena D.
Praying with family and friends while we share before eating dinner what we are thankful for during the holidays. Salvation, relationships and just being alive.

We went to worship service Christmas and Thanksgiving day before we did anything else that day. That is how we started our day and will continue. God has been good to this family. He has brought us a long journey. And I won't complain cause it could have went differently for this family. Thank U Jesus!

Taking a family picture with my daughter and cats. We send our loved ones a Christ-centered Christmas card to Bless them.

Is that we do meet as the extended family to share a meal together and also we do share with the needy too through giving them some basic things.

Gods blessings to you and your family. When we were little and lived in the Eastern part of Uganda. As children we would look for a Christmas tree and cut it, carry it home and spend a whole evening decorating it. My & I siblings sing at church. We go to church on Christmas and we all come later to have a big joy filled meal together.

Our family tradition is quite new, but we decided to stop gifting gifts to one another. Instead, we read the scriptures and do activities with one another--- bake, sing hymns, watch movies, discuss how God blessed us throughout the year, share miracles that happened, and play games. We wanted to shift our focus towards one another and Jesus Christ.

On Christmas Eve night my children , brother and his children and whoever may be at my house gather and take turns reading the Christmas story out of Luke before exchanging gifts.

Definitely church service and a lot of food. I grew up very poor and didnt know Christ , as a young adult life I found my identity with Christ and started my new traditions with my husband and children. And that is church service and me already cooking bumbling ourselves, full of thanksgiving. This will be my second year and now have to start

We sing happy birthday to Jesus every Christmas.
